Leonora's Writing

Here you will find my short stories, and teasers about the novel I’m writing.

I write for children aged nine and older.

My work in progress is about a determined girl and her adopted horse in the 1800s, with a mythical fantasy twist.

It’s going to be a surprise, but let’s just say there’s a scrappy Georgian girl, a proud but wounded black stallion, and some very cool Merfolk!

My writing influences are my awkward childhood, my love of history and my upbringing in the beautiful Georgian town of Harrogate, in North Yorkshire.

My work explores themes of family belonging, kindness, forgiveness and making the most of what you get in life, even if it’s not what you wanted.
